Her troops aren't rallying because they *ain't her troops.* That she is confused about this is equal parts funny and disturbing.

Andrea alerted me to this post, and I'm so glad that she did. I just wrote about this myself and edited in a link here after the fact. While I am a working mother, I would give it up in a SECOND to stay home with my child, college education or not. Hirshman wonders "Why would they willingly relegate themselves to the jobs of unpaid cooks, janitors, chauffeurs and recreational attendants?"

One word for you, Linda. Love. I love my son and want to spend as much time with him as I can, and if that means I do it while wiping his butt or soothing his fears or cooking his breakfast, then sign me up! There's more to life than a paycheck. Sue me if I care more about raising my child(ren) myself than I do about "paving the way" for the careers of women younger than me. Not to mention, as the mother of a boy, I find it distasteful that a lot of male bashers hide behind the feminism moniker. I'm leery of you, Linda, and I know what you're up to. You won't trick me.Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10612468442701491963noreply@blogger.com
