I know this will cost me in readership

It's definitely NOT going to win me any new fans.

But it may help a little girl be brave in the face of a big dentist appointment on Thursday.

And oddly enough, deciding it is only a doll has a calming affect on me, too.

  2. No time for soapboxes when your little one needs you. Plenty of time to accidentally spill acid on it in a few months.

  3. Did Annabel choose the toy doll or did it come from elsewhere?

  4. This particular doll was "on loan" from her babysitter's youngest girl (who no longer plays with them). I told her she would have to wait for her own doll until after the appointment. But this doll - "Chloe" - is the one she wants.

  6. I don't like them, but Char was given one and she even has a barbie now AND a Disney princess costume. I no longer worry she will become a stripper or anorexic because of it. I don't feel I have caved, I have relaxed about the small things. At least she isn't on Toddlers in Tiaras... :-) You are a good Mum.
