This made me tear up a little. We had a cat who watched over us for 20 years. When she passed away last June, we adopted a puppy from the kennel. He watches over my son the same way your animals watch over your daughter. He even checks the bed the same way. Love, love, love them. Nothing like a sweet-hearted animal to love on.
