A mother's remorse ...

Since Ittybit hasn't really been able to wrap her mind around the concept of playthings going to Iraq, I've decided to take a break from reality long enough to examine the fact that, essentially, I sent Kermit The Frog (or as I like to refer to him, Kermit D. Frog) into a dessert war zone.

Ok so it hurts my head to think about actual children living in the deplorable circumstances we helped create, so for the briefest of moments I'm considering this little absurdity because of the humanity Muppets embody.

I feel remorse. ...

I should have sent Elmo.

Whenever I'm going through the kids' millions of stuffed animals, there are always a select few that I am strong emotional ties to. So I know what you must be feeling.

Personally, I would have sent Elmo too. But rest assured that you have just made some child very happy.

Anything to get one less Elmo in the house.

PS: Sending that toy was an awesome thing to do.

Very cool thing to do!

When Honey was overseas I sent boxes and boxes of sunglasses and yo yo's and stuff like that over there. He sent home pictures of little kids wearing plastic sunglasses and it warmed my heart. They would run up to the soldiers and hold thier hands up cupping their eyes like glasses.

Oh bubblegum too. They love that stuff. I should send a care package. Thanks for reminding me...I forget at times. Thank you.
